I roughly ditched incandescent bulbs for extra-environment friendly compact fluorescents in my home years ago. But at this level, I am awfully near ditching CFLs for the newest in lighting expertise: LEDs. LED lighting has obtained too much going for it. The lights could be far more efficient than different varieties of lights, and the bulbs are purported to last for tens of 1000's of hours--sufficient to last 20 or 30 years relying on usage. Unlike CFLs, there is no mercury, EcoLight the light is on the spot, and turning lights on and off shouldn't degrade their useful life, in keeping with manufacturers.
